Suki Cosplay's Kakashi Tank Top Review

hi guys!! today i'm going to be reviewing an item from one of my favourite cosplayers! I've been following Suki on facebook for a while now (you can follow here too) and finally got the chance to work with them! not only do they do cosplay commissions, but they also have a line of other merchandise such as beanies, shirts, sweats, and more! i got to try out the awesome kakashi tank, as shown on the etsy:

as you can see there's quite a few colours to choose from! i chose black.
here's me trying the top on right out of the package!

it was very nice quality, the fabric wasn't thin or flimsy, and the tag says 100% cotton! here's the tag:

and these are some pictures AFTER the first wash - it passes the washing machine test! i always like to put my printed shirts through the wash one time before reviewing to make sure that the print on stays on well. it's very important that is doesn't fade or peel off. this shirt passed with flying colours, it's just as perfect as the first time i tried it on, in fact is may be a little softer which is great!

so basically, in conclusion, this shirt is great quality and i absolutely LOVE the design. it's very simple but very classy as far as anime merch goes haha.

i'd highly recommend getting this, not only is it very well priced, but you're also helping to support a great cosplayer!

keep track of store updates by following the store's facebook page and the Suki's cosplay page!

Pinky Paradise Venus Eye Review!

So this isn't my first time working with Pinky Paradise of course. I've worked with them quite a few times in the past. I've even tried out a different pair of red contacts from them before! (these ones) I've used them for Kaworu, Rei, Marshall Lee, etc. But as you probably know, these contacts have an expiration date and it's not safe to use them for more than a year! Mine have just expired and I was in need of a new pair, and thought, let's try something new!  So today I'm going to be reviewing these.

and here's the info listed with it

and here's mine, just out of the bottle!

This cute case came with it too! It's one of my favourite things about the company. In my past experiences buying lenses I had to buy cases separately and it was a huge pain.

and here they are in:

I really like the more natural look they have. My other red contacts were much brighter red, which is good for some looks, but these suit what I wanted really well. To be honest, I really like both and it's hard to compare them. It really depends on what you're looking for. Luckily Pinky Paradise has a large selection of colours and you can find the right pair for you! All the lenses I've tried from here are very comfortable! And they are able to meet my prescription needs for most of the designs as well - the crazy contacts don't always come in prescription but all of the circle lenses I've looked at do!

CosplaySky Homura Akemi Costume Review

it's been a while since i posted a review here. i have quite a few to get to an i'm gonna start with my review of cosplaysky!

(review of this necklace/ring set will be up soon! you can use my code "criedwolves" at spreepicky for a discount too!)

so my sponsorship with them entailed one custom tailored cosplay. i ha a hard time choosing one because there were SO MANY great cosplays available! i ended up choosing a puella magi madoka magica one. the homura akemi magical girl outfit, to be specific. it was between her and hope from final fantasy at the end, but i've wanted to cosplay homura (my wife) for a long time now. i'll do a final fantasy character one day though, i promise!

anyways i sent my measurements and they told me it would take about a month to sew and mail to me. it ended up arriving faster than i expected though!

when i first tried it on it ended up being a little bit big on me. i'm pretty sure it's because i sent them my old measurements and i'd lost a bit of weight since then. but i was happy that it was big rather than small because at least this way i can take it in a bit! i still plan to lose a bit more weight and tone up so once i do i'm going to have it fitted perfectly, but until then it's wearable as is!

so right away i could tell it was nice quality. the black trim were a leathery material and the fabric felt good! there were several zippers on it to help get into easier and to make sure it's fitted well once on. one critique i might have is that the colours aren't 100% canon. the skirt and lower collar are a purple-grey when in canon they're a less saturated colour. also the bows are a little bit more blue than they should be. but i didn't really tell until i compared it to a ref pic of her. it really doesn't make a huge difference and it still looks really good in my opinion. so it's fine unless you're one of those people who are SUPER picky about colours. but seeing as though most homura cosplayers don't use grey wigs like her hair is in canon, i doubt it's a huge issue.

so to sum this all up, my first experience with cosplaysky was great and i would definitely recommend them! personally, i'm the kind of cosplayer who focuses mostly on wigs and though i do occasionally sew my own cosplays, i do use some made by costume sellers like this and have in the past bought some from other cosplayers. either way cosplay is about having fun and if you're someone who isn't overly talented at sewing or doesn't own a machine, this is a great way to do it. so check out cosplaysky!

WigIsFashion Review!

Another first time review! I've done one other wig review before but I've got a ton of experience with wigs, as you probably know. WigIsFashion was kind enough to sponsor me a wig, and as a avid cosplayer I just couldn't say no! I use wigs constantly, in and out of cosplay. In fact I own probably around 40 wigs, all varying in colour, quality, and style. So as this was my first experience with them, I decided to review a very generic, versatile black wig.

This is how it was advertised on the site! You can see it here.
Basically the most average wig you can find, right? Which is why it's perfect for testing out quality and playing around with different looks!

Here I'm wearing it straight out of the bag, completely unstyled, just a pin in the front to keep it out of my face.

Just by putting it on and fluffing it around a bit i could tell that it would hold well when styled. It's thick but not TOO thick, and the texture of the fibers was nice as well. It also doesn't look shiny and cheap in direct light which is another sign of quality.

Here it is after a bit of cutting and a hint of hairspray, nothing drastic.

I'm still not sure what I'm going to end up using this wig for but since it's so versatile I might use it as a fashion wig until I can decide a purpose!

For now it works for Marshall Lee really well. Maybe Hiro, even Kanaya if styled right... I'll definitely be using this more in the future and I'm definitely hoping I can try some more products from WigIsFashion! They've proved themselves reputable and high quality and so I'd definitely recommend checking them out!

You can use my code "criedwolves" for a discount on regular priced items!
And don't forget to look at the huge selection of low-priced lacefronts!!! It's hard to find good quality ones at prices like these!

Banggood Review!

This is my first time working with Banggood and it's been awesome! They let me choose a few items to review (I still have some jewelry pieces on the way, for which I'll do a separate review) and this is what I picked:

I'll start with the hat. Here's how it's advertised on the site:

And this is what I received! The colour looks a bit dull in my pictures but I can assure you that's just the lighting and the blues and purples and deep and rich and very space-y looking!

The pattern is really cool! It's good quality as well which is impressive for the price. There's also galaxy hats that have the pattern covering the entire hat (you can find them here) and though I like both, the preferred the one with the black because it acts as an accent rather than a focal point. I used it to accent my galaxy sweater and makeup in these pictures:

And it pulled this outfit together by adding a hint of colour

I'm actually wearing the next item I'm going to talk about in this pic! It's the hologram backpack, something I've been dying to have for ages. I've absolutely fallen in love with the whole futuristic, space/holographic trend.
Here is the item as shown online:

Here is what I got:

The colours and reflections are even more cool in person! I've worn it out once already and got so many compliments on it and I'm not at all surprised. I can tell this is going to become the center of
 my wardrobe.

It's well-made and although I'm not a huge fan of the mustard interior, it's going to remain closed 99% of the time so it's not really an issue. Besides, the fabric is nice even if the colour isn't my favourite. There's plenty of pockets and places to put things. It's definitely worth the price. Make sure to check out the other options of hologram bags, gold, purple, and rainbow!

Finally we've got the witching hour tee. Here's what it looks like on the site:

And that's exactly how it looks!

It's quite sheer so you can wear a bandeau or sports bra underneath if you need to cover your chest. I really loved it and the whole warlock vibe it gave me. I even wore my Howl wig and crystal necklace to really kick up the witchiness. I'm definitely hoping to find more items like this and direct my look this way.

This shirt was great. Just long enough, soft fabric, perfect amount of bagginess. The only flaw would be that it clings when it gets a little statically charged. Nothing a bounce sheet can't fix!

So basically my first experience with Banggood was fantastic! I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future and finding more quality items from them. I highly recommend shopping here since there's a wide selection of all sorts of items, and they're all low-priced too!

Syndrome Tees Review

This isn't my first review with Syndrome. Before this, I reviewed an awesome Sailor Moon shirt. You can see my review for that here!
You can probably tell I've put this review off for a while since I have pics in the shirts from before I bleached my hair haha. Since I got them in the mail I've worn them quite a bit.

I'll start with the "Fuck Off" Shirt. I've been really drawn to black clothes lately. So naturally I picked this shirt. In addition to being black, it has a great message to anyone who feels like bugging me. I get a lot of unwanted attention when i dress up girly, so this was a perfect addition to one of my recent looks, as you can see below:

Cute, but won't take shit from anybody. That's the vibe I'm going for.
But because this shirt is pretty simple it works for a variety of looks.

The other shirt I got was this egg one. I adore it! I was especially amused when I found out that the Japanese text roughly translates to something like "The love of cats, moe moe cats, nyan nyan love"

(jacket from sheinside)

For whatever reason eggs seem to be very popular online and in harajuku fashion, and of course I'm no exception. My strange love for eggs won't end with this shirt and next thing you know i'll be wearing those socks with little eggs embroidered on them. I'm not complaining. It's a cute trend and this shirt is the perfect item for it. In fact here's some other cute egg stuff you can find on Syndrome!

Both shirts were good quality and made of very soft material which I really liked. They run quite small (the Fuck Off shirt is just long enough) so keep that in mind! This was another great experience with Syndrome and I highly recommend shopping here.

SheInside Review

(wearing the denim hoodie from sheinside and egg tee from syndrome store)

I've put it off for a while but I'm finally getting around to my SheInside Review. I got a bit of a haul this time around and wanted to take enough time to get nice pictures of them all. I was given 3 items, they're listed below:

First off I'm gonna start with the pants. I chose them because I really don't own enough bottoms and they looked like they could go with a lot of outfits. I got these ones in medium. The sizing is as follows:
They were a bit tighter on then I'd expected but I still really liked the way they looked. I don't think they're meant to be baggy anyways, though I think they'd look good either way and if that's the style you prefer you could easily just order a size up.

The second item is the shirt I'm wearing in that pic. The popular Explicit Content shirt. I've probably got the most use out of this item so far and it is one of my new favourite wardrobe pieces. I got this in medium as well. It's a really cool shirt although it can be tough to pull off. Since it's a crop top, the way it sits around the waist can really exentuate your hips, so if you're looking for something to hide your curves this isn't it. Also take into account your height/length of your torso. On shorter people, it can look more slimming since the bottom hem sits lower than the waist. I'm 5'7"-5'8"ish so it's a little higher on me.

Here are the measurements, etc.:

As you can see I've worn it plenty of times in the short time I've had this item. It makes me look so hardcore this shirt is a blessing and it's on sale right now too!

(jacket on far right also from sheinside, you can find it here and well as my review here)

The last item from this haul is the denim jacket. I cut up my old denim jacket not long ago and needed a new, better one, which is why I chose this item.

I got this one in large because i like my coats and outerwear to fit looser. It's nice for when I want to wear more layers of clothing under it, but I like baggy jackets in general anyways.

I really love this jacket. The sweater part under the denim is removable - it's essentially a hooded vest made of super soft sweater material - so it's super versatile! The denim part is shorter and the sweater underneath is longer and I really like the look of them together, but the jacket and vest look great on their own as well. I know I'll get a lot of use out of this item.

So altogether I had another great experience with SheInside. All the items I've received have been great quality and very accurate to what is advertised.  Make sure to check out my new wishlist and other great items in the shop!
